The word Application for most of us has a very modest background of someone standing with folded hands from our scholarly experience of junior school- Never ever in our daring thoughts would we imagine getting the same things done with the flick of a thumb and no impressive sentence framing at all. The Apps remind you, the apps notify you and the apps gratify you . The time and technology have empowered us with these digital Genies to skip the queues, melt the distances, break the news, forecast the weather and make bookings across the globe. All of us are an evolved Aladdin and while plastic bags are a global bane, plastic money is the universal feed for these genie.

Smart Apps have transfigured the world with diminishing touch points – we no longer look out for the age old family uncle who would drop in for an evening tea to recommend the best insurance or investment plans. We have completely ruled out to drive at least for our motor insurance renewal and the omnipresent paan wala and press waalas no more have to be our guiding stars – we all are guided missiles to reach the destination even in the foreign lands. The latest movies are awaited not in the nearest theaters but in your Hot apps and the vacations are no longer consulted for company you share Bookings to invite friends. The Genie pulls everything today from pre marital to post marital – The days are only numbered when nuptial knots will be an app event and guest and pandit ji will be a virtual digizens .

Going down the activity chart of last few years on transactional apps , all of us have shifted to a digital payments and cashback regime . Any payment which can have a possibility of cash back rolls up in a possible app and we leave no effort in our digital footprint to sniff out the smartest app. In fact the cab services are also the progeny of this growing fad with masses- While ETA on the app may prod you to look for another app but there is “ Promo Code” to stick around and wait for few more minutes. We are also rewarded often by a free ride which we love to avail and revengefully ignore so many cabbies and autowallas around us only to wait for the one “ shortly arriving ” . The added ammo with most of the shopping apps is the AI . While Amazon will continue to be the largest flowing river in South America by volume it certainly has managed to push the shopping impulse of the globe with Mr Bezos . The content curation of a random search in the shopping list will haunt you on every digital page until and unless you add to cart and place the order ! The Great Indian Sale and Big Billion Days leave nothing left for ordering from a to z.

Just like monkeys swing from one tree to another in the wild, we keep hopping from one app to another on typical working day . The day starts with Inshorts, while you are still in your shorts and by the time you groom yourself for work you slither into another app – Driving or being driven hardly matters – you will be in app for sure . While a spying app will measure your steps and clories in the office there will be raining offers from food delivery apps by lunch time . One may not admit but the smartest of your colleague will actually fish out a yummy deal almost at the cost of parking fee and we all love to make up for our calorie deficit guts . In the evening the kids will call you to order the pizza before you reach and your wife would have already booked a dinner table somewhere succumbing to the deal of the day.
